A Quiet Return to Making Things

Andy Hunt for abstract artworks
My name is Andy Hunt, and I create abstract art as a way of slowing down and reconnecting. For a long time I drifted – far away from the part of myself that creates. Life got busy, loud, demanding. Work, stress, caring for others, keeping everything moving – all of it pushed the creative instinct into the background.
But it never disappeared. It just waited – quietly, patiently, hopefully.
This site, and the work on it, is part of my return.
A slow reconnection with the process of noticing, shaping, and expressing things that don’t always fit neatly, into words.
What These Artworks Represent
Every piece begins with something simple: a mark, a fragment, a colour that doesn’t let go. I work between physical and digital tools, reducing and refining until only the essential elements remain.
The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s presence.
These pieces aren’t made to fill space.
They’re made to hold something – memory, tension, calm, a trace of what we carry around without realising it.
Why I Create This Way
I create slowly. Intentionally.
This pace isn’t a strategy; it’s a necessity. It helps keep the work honest and stops me slipping back into the rushed, energy-scattering patterns that derailed my creativity for years.
There’s something grounding about working with fragments – rebuilding them into something simple, meaningful and whole. It’s a reminder that clarity is something you have to make, not something you wait for.
What You’ll Find Here
The pieces on this site are printed on demand.
No stock, no batches, no waste.
Just the work – made when someone like you, chooses it.
New pieces appear when they’re ready, not on a schedule. Some never make it here at all. The ones that do have passed through a lot of rethinking, hands-on testing, refining, and reduction.
If a piece feels honest, it stays.
If it doesn’t, it gets taken apart.
